Hugging A Tree

Standing by a tree treading on its roots
Microcosms of thought that soon
Became entangled in the branches
Sending a smile a look, a feeling
Listening to the birds, out loud, laughing.

I feel the energy as it rushes up the trunk
I wonder where its meant to be going
I see the moon in my moods nestled in the dark
I wonder what I’m really meant to be doing
For wonder is a gift that is freely given
Love of wonder seeking the answer to mysteries
Exploring the energy that links us with heaven.

Like stars that send stabs of light
Breaking the monotony of the darkest night
The messages freely flowing
Zap backwards and forwards in words glowing.

I am inside the tree it is inside me
I see mystery lost people and wisdom entirely
I feel the flowers that sway in the breezes
I hear the creaking branches that never ceases.
