Adolpheus reigns this night
The mighty hand of light
Has been quietened once more
The tender edges of day disappear.
The lively dance of leaves in cold air
We watch, as the clouds ink out the sky
For the dreams are waiting
For Aldolpheus is all but escaping.
His pointed finger lingers in my mind
The cloaked Adolpheus awakens
The years of dormant abstraction
Ends but you are called upon again.
Set your eye, tune your ear
Listen to the falling snow
Bravely sit beside your lake
Let the moment, for once, go!
Longer nights drill holes skyward
For the sleepiness is drilled
Into each eye and stilled
The day has been forsaken
